The Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IChF) was honored to host Professor Hermenegildo Garcia for the Dream Chemistry Lectures on February 20^th, 2025.

Professor Garcia, from Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain, is a leading expert in photocatalysis. His research focuses on Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) for solar fuels production. With over 900 publications and an H‑index of 134 and an ERC Advanced grantee, he has received numerous prestigious awards, including the 2025 Ryland Heismer Award.

During his lecture, Professor Garcia discussed MOFs as efficient photocatalysts for sustainable energy conversion, highlighting their potential in reducing fossil fuel dependency.

This event brought together researchers, students, and industry professionals, reinforcing the Dream Chemistry Lectures’ mission to inspire scientific innovation and collaboration.
