Dr. Marta Paszkiewicz-Gawron joined the Solar Chemistry group as a postdoctoral researcher

2024-11-13

Dr. Paszkiewicz-Gawron graduated at University of Gdańsk in 2018. She has a broad experience in both the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials. Her background is related to many kinds of reactions such as: hydrogen generation by water-splitting, photodegradation of organic compounds in the aqueous and gas phases, and selective oxidation of aromatic alcohols. Her experience includes successfully completed research fellowships in several renowned research centers around the world:

  • Leibniz Institute for Catalysis at the University of Rostock in Germany;

  • National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) in Tsukuba, Japan;

  • Department of Chemistry, University of Turin in Italy; (iv) Institute for Catalysis (ICAT) of Hokkaido University in Sapporo, Japan;

  • Escuela Politecnica National in Quito, Equador.

Dr. Paszkiewicz-Gawron will be concentrating on the OPUS 26 project, entitiled: Surface-Interface engineering in constructing multi-dimensional functional hybrid piezophotocatalysts for redox selective organic synthesis in flow”, financed by National Science Center, No. 2023/51/B/ST5/00752/R.
