CELISE Project Discussion on Biomass Conversion into bioproducts

A significant meeting was held with the CELISE Project on September 19, Meeting Summary: CELISE_​project Project Discussion on Biomass Conversion where key topics surrounding the conversion of biomass into bioproducts were discussed. 

Dr. Fernando Colmenares CEO and director of the Engineering Research Institute — In³ — of the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia in Poland, today with CELISE project presented the concept of Digital Twins, highlighting their potential as a valuable tool for validating business models.

This innovative approach is currently being developed in collaboration with the Institución Etnoeducativa La Paz. The meeting also explored the possibility of establishing a consortium to apply for funding under the Horizon Europe programme.

Additionally, there was a proposal to pursue European Union funds, focusing on the formation of a cluster centered on bioeconomy, applied artificial intelligence, and renewable energy. It is noted worthy that the CELISE Project has successfully secured funding from Opus 26 and Cantabria Coopera for initiatives related to biomass and territorial development. 
 

The meeting brought together a diverse group of participants, including:

Prof. Dr. Juan Carlos Colmenares Quintero, Prof. Dr. Hanggara Sudrajat, Postdoc Fellow Ahmed Malek Djaballah, PhD Candidate Behdokht Hashemi Hosseini from Institute of Physical Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences; Prof. Dr. Alberto Coz and Prof. Dr. Adelina Calvo from the Universidad de Cantabria, Prof. Dr. Grzegorz KOWALUK, miss Anita Wronka from Warsaw University of Life Sciences, CEO Hannia Bridg from Bridg-Networking Consultancy, Mrs. During this gathering, potential new partners were also introduced, including Sultan Sultan Alqahtani from King Khalid University and Hannia Bridg from Bridg-Networking Consultancy.

Discussions were held regarding collaboration for energy production in non-interconnected areas and post-conflict zones using biomass. The collaborative spirit displayed during this meeting signifies a promising step towards advancing the bioeconomy and renewable energy sectors.
